Recommended Brake Assemblies for 5,200 lb Lippert Axles on Toy Hauler

Question:

We have lippert 5200 pound axles on a toy hauler. We are over hauling the axles. Which brakes would you recommend? The axle information is BA-LC152-SB-92-74.5-OS-L, S/N 458767, 5200 lbs. Dont know if we would be better off replacing the brakes or just the springs and magnets. The axles are on a 2006 rv that has had little to no maintenance done on them. Thank you!

For your brake assemblies, I recommend the Electric Trailer Brake Kit # AKEBRK-7-SA which will give you the brake assemblies for one 5,200 lb axle. These brake assemblies are self-adjusting so you will not need to do anything to maintain them. They will automatically adjust as they wear to give you the best braking available.

Since you haven't done any maintenance in the past 12 years, I recommend replacing the assemblies versus just the individual parts. I think you'll be really pleased with the ease of install and the function of these assemblies with your axles.
