Weight Distribution System Recommendation for Prime Time Avenger ATI 27DBS
Question:
To whom it may Concern, I just had a quick question on which of the Blue Ox Sway Pro hitches would be best for my application. I have a Ford 350 that is towing a Prime Time Avenger ATI 27DBS. The GVWR for that model is 10,000 lbs. The Dry weight is 6652lbs and the tongue weight is 721lbs. I had tried the Curt Tru Track for the 15,000/1500lbs and it was a horrible ride and towed much better without it. I know that at 12 of the 10,000 would put me above the 1000lbs of the BXW1000, but if I go to the BXW1500, I do not want the ride to be as bad as it was with the Tru Track set up. What would you recommend? Thanks in advance!

You are right between ideal tongue weight ranges for the Blue Ox system so I have a better route for you to check out.
The Reese Strait Line kit part # RP66084 has a tongue weight range of 600-1,200 lbs which would be perfect for what you have and it features only sway control that works to fight sway before it starts. Also, the Reese spring bars use spring steel which is much more forgiving than the steel found on other systems so it will be much smoother.
For a 2 inch ball you would want part # A-90 and for a 2-5/16 inch ball # 19286.
