Class III Curt vs DrawTite Recommendation for 2003 Suzuki XL7

Question:

I see you have 2 options for a Class III hitch on a 2003 Suzuki XL7. One from Curt #C13517, one from DrawTite #41537. Both are fine in terms of the weight ratings and overall appearance, etc. Does one have a reputation for holding up better over time in terms of appearance and rust? I live in Indiana so road salt and rusting is an issue. The Drawtite says Black powder coat finish covers e-coat base for superior rust protection. The Curt says Gloss black powder coat finish over protective base coat offers superior rust resistance. Im mechanically inclined. The one thing I liked about the Curt more, making me hesitant to buy the DrawTite, is that the Curt appears to have a cross bar made from larger square tubing than the DrawTite. Both are rated the same, but its hard to not feel that the larger tubing on the Curt makes it a better made hitch. So to me it appears to be a decision of larger tubing or an included J-pin hole. I appreciate your advise.

The two hitches for your 2003 Suzuki XL-7, the Curt part # C13517 and the Draw Tite part # 41537 are both excellent options that will work well for you. Neither has a tendency to rust or corrode before the other. The prices are so close too I'd not be able to recommend you just go with the less expensive one as they are both really about the same.
