Because you have a short bed on your 2015 Ram 1500, tight turns will be challenging. Adding a fifth wheel slider hitch like the Reese 5th Wheel Slider, Item # RP30051, would seem like a great idea. Unfortunately, slider hitches and Sidewinder pin box like the Reese Sidewinder King Pin, Item # RP34FR, do not work together in the rear, locked position. Instead, you normally pick one or the other option based on what works best for your situation.
Based on your information, I recommend keeping the Sidewinder pin box and adding a fixed fifth wheel hitch like the Reese, Item # RP30047, that fits your truck and situation. This particular hitch has an adjustable hitch height of 14-1/2 inches to 18 inches and a gross towing weight of 16,000-lbs.
To make things easier, I also recommend adding a fifth wheel wiring harness in your truck bed like Item # 50-97-410.
If this will not work for you, let me know and I can make other recommendations.
I am also attaching some articles and videos to assist you.
