The best bike rack to carry one bike with your 2012 Honda Civic is the RockyMounts HighNoon FC Solo Bike Rack # RKY87RR. This bike rack is compatible with Class 2-III 1-1/4" and 2" hitch receivers and comes with a limited lifetime warranty.
The RockyMounts HighNoon can carry 1 bike up to 60 lbs with a max wheelbase of 52" and max tire width of 5". Since it is a wheel mount bike rack it can accommodate any bike frame style that doesn't have a front fender. The wheel mount is also great because it eliminates the bike rack making any contact with sensitive frames like carbon fiber.
It comes with bike and rack locks and tilting and folding features. The Anti-rattle hitch pin lock not only secures your bike rack like I mentioned before, but it also eliminates movement and rattle in the hitch receiver so that your bike has the smoothest ride possible.

I am wondering about the maximum diameter of wheel that this rack will accomodate. I have never seen a regular-sized bike with fat tires 4.5 and up that had a diameter of only 29. Mine, for example, is a Trek Farley 5.0, and the wheels from the knobs on one side to the knobs on the other, measures almost 31. Will this bike not fit the Thule T1?Thank you for your assistance!
