Purpose of Smaller Holes in Draw-Tite Hitch Receivers Between Opening and Hitch Pin Hole
Question:
What is the purpose of the smaller holes between the hitch opening and the standard lock pin holes?

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 75607 has the smaller holes between the receiver tube end and the hitch pin hole. The smaller hole is no longer used. This is a locking hitch pin and anti-rattle device that Draw-Tite has the integrated holes to utilize. I've attached a couple of videos to assist.
It is a really nice option for ball mounts and other accessories that do not have an integrated locking/anti-rattle system to stabilize and reduce noise.
