Recommended Transmission Cooler for 2007 Cadillac Escalade

Question:

2007 escalade transmission temp is hitting 220 for a second and goes back down but normally stays around 180 when flat and 205 when slightly climbing. I pull a 3200 lbs trailer and wanted to upgrade to 5800 lb which is well under the 8000lb max. please advice

When towing a trailer, especially when there are hills or mountains, you will be wise to add a transmission cooler. For your 2007 Cadillac Escalade, I recommend the Derale Series 8000 Plate-Fin Transmission Cooler Kit w/Barb Inlets # D13503. For this installation you will also want the Derale Snap-In Radiator Adapter Fitting for GM # D13035 if you have the snap in transmission line or the Derale Radiator Adapter Fittings for GM # D13018 if you have the threaded fittings on your Escalade. I believe your model year has the threaded fittings based on my research, but a quick glance will confirm for you which adapter you need.
