7-Way Wiring Harness Recommendation for 2000 Ford F-250 with Intermediate Harness
Question:
Hello, I have a trailer plug set up HM40975 that came with my truck uninstalled. I am about to install it but I would prefer not to splice wires into my 2000 F250. I know you guys make a kit for a direct replacement for the 7 pin but I would like to have the 7 and 4 pin set up. MY question is that do you sell just the intermediate harness between the square plug and the trailer plug itself like in your item # 118243? I dont need the plug plate I just need the harness in between. Sorry if that is confusing but I would appreciate any help or wiring guidance if it is similar to the 2008 super duty video you guys have. I would really love to install the kit I have from your company but dont want to mess anything us by connecting the wrong wires. Thank you,

This question comes up on occasion so I know exactly what you are looking for. That said the only solution we have for you would be the part # 118243 which comes with the intermediate harness you are looking for and is compatible with the # HM40975 that you have.
The silver lining to this kit is that you'd have a backup 7-way incase something happened to the # HM40975.
