Will the C14355 hitch mount as easily on a 2001 F150 as it does on a 2002 model F150?

The Curt Hitch you referenced, Item # C14355, has the same installation instructions for a 2001 or 2002 Ford F-150. Simply follow the attached instructions and the attached installation video for a 2002 Ford F-150 and you should be good to go.
If you are moving the Curt hitch from one truck to the other then I recommend replacing the hardware with something like our Replacement Hardware Kit for Trailer Hitches, Item # RHK.
