Is There a Brake Controller Adapter Port on a 2017 Nissan Pathfinder
Question:
I have the 7-pin set-up and tow hitch already installed. Im trying to figure out whether a small receptacle under my dash is for a brake controller wiring adapter or whether the brake controller will have a plug on it already. Too bad there isnt a video showing the under-the-dashboard installation of a brake controller.

If the 7-way trailer connector on the rear of your 2017 Nissan Pathfinder was installed from the factory then there is a brake controller adapter port already present. The correct adapter will depend on the brand of brake controller you install. I recommend using the Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Trailer Brake Controller part # 90885 with the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter part # 3050-P. You can see the location of the plug at around the 4:00 mark in the attached video.
The Tekonsha P2 is one of our best selling brake controllers due to its ease of use and integrated safeguards. It has a limited lifetime warranty and is very easy to install with the above harness.
