When choosing the right weight distribution system, the most important factor to consider is the total tongue weight of your towing setup. This number includes both the loaded and ready to tow tongue weight of the trailer, along with any added cargo weight coming from behind the rear axle of your Dodge Durango. Ideally, this number will fall somewhere near the middle of the operating range for the system you choose.

The best and most accurate method for determining the trailer's loaded tongue weight is with a scale like the # e99044. I am not sure if the 415 pound tongue weight you mentioned in your question is with the trailer fully loaded or simply its dry/empty tongue weight. If this is in fact the loaded tongue weight, then I recommend looking at the Equal-i-zer Weight Distribution System # EQ37060ET. This system features a tongue weight capacity of 200 to 600 pounds and it will do a great job of evenly distributing weight over the axles of the trailer and your Durango. Its integrated 4-Point Sway Control will also limit side-to-side movement and the spring bars will flex to provide a controlled, even ride. Both the adjustable shank and hitch ball are included, so nothing else will need to be obtained separately.

I have attached a short video demonstration on this system that you can check out, along with an FAQ on weight distribution systems that you might find helfpul.
