Question:
My trailer has a 5 prong flat plug no trailer breaks. 1- right turn 2- left turn 3- tail lights 4- break lights 5- ground Not in that exact order in plug just listed for example. My motorcycle has a 4 prong flat plug. What do I need to do with this?

Helpful Expert Reply:
A trailer 5-way normally has different functions than what you described: right turn, left turn, tail lights, ground and an additional wire that is usually tapped into the backup lights to disengage the hydraulic trailer coupler. We would not have an adapter that works with the functions you currently have so I recommend cutting off the 5 way, splicing your wires together and adding 4-way connector # 18004.
I've added a link to a video review of this part for you, as well a link to a help article on wiring which you may find useful.
