How to Attach Both a Spare Tire and Cargo Carrier on the Back of an RV

Question:

Hello, I am looking for a combination receiver mount spare tire and fuel can carrier. I have a 2018 Leisure Travel Van Class B Wonder RV. Planning a trip to AK this coming summer. Any help or ideas are appreciated. Ive considered a small cargo carrier mounted back there but thought maybe something even a bit more space efficient if such a thing exists.

I have the perfect option for you. For starters, you will need a hitch if you do not already have one and for that I recommend the Adjustable Width Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13702. This hitch fits RV's with frame widths from 18" - 51" apart when measuring from the outside of each rail.

The Roadmaster Hitch Mounted Spare Tire Carrier part # RM-195225 can be added to give you a way to carry your spare tire. The great thing about this carrier is that it can be swung downward for easy access in addition to still allowing for an additional accessory to be used.

You can then add a cargo carrier to the rear of the spare tire carrier to store your gas tank. I have attached a list of these options for you.
