Fifth Wheel Hitch, Rail Kit and Suspension Enhancement for 2018 Ford F-150 5.5 Foot Bed
Question:
I am planning to use the Demco Recon in the truck and the sidewinder on the 5th wheel. Does this change you suggestion for the rails and mounting kit? Thanks

For your 2018 Ford F-150 5-1/2 foot bed we have suspension enhancement that is a fit and works well with an in-bed fifth wheel hitch, but none of the air bag kits will work. Instead you'd want to go with the Timbren kit part # TFR1504E which fits your vehicle and can be used with an in-bed hitch rail kit. I attached an install video for this kit for you to check out as well.
Then for a fifth wheel rail kit the best option is the Reese custom fit kit part # RP50087-58 which is a no-drill option confirmed to fit your truck.
We only have one slider hitch that has enough sliding clearance for how short your truck bed is. For that you'd want the Demco Hijacker 13k part # DM8550040. This automatically slides back 22-1/2 inches as you make tight turns giving you the clearance you need.
