Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack Compatibility with Toyota Prius Prime Hitch Receiver

We have the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2. What are our options to use this with our Prius Prime? 1 1/2inch to 2inch adaptor?? Thanks

For your Kuat Sherpa 2.0 2-Bike Platform Rack - 2" Hitches # SH22G, to use it with your 2017 Prius Prime, you will need the Hitch Adapter 1-1/4" to 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver # HTAD. This is the only one compatible with Class I hitches like what you have on your Prius Prime. It will reduce the tongue weight capacity of your hitch by 50%, so you will need to consider the weight of your bikes and the rack when using this adapter. You will want to check your warranty on your Kuat rack as this adapter may void the warranty.
If you have a Curt Hitch, you will also need the stabilization strap # 18050 based on Curt's warranty restrictions.
