Installing a Brake Controller in a 2002 Holiday Rambler Endeavor
Question:
I have a 2002 Holiday Endeavor. I am wondering what wiring harness I would need to install a Brake Controller, and where would I find the plug to plug into on my motorhome.

A brake controller is going to need to be hardwired into your 2002 Holiday Rambler Endeavor because there is no plug available. In order to do this (since I assume it already has a 6-pin wiring harness in the back) you will need to cut that and connect it to the Universal Brake Controller Wiring Kit # ETBC7 using a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 to test the functions. You will also likely need extra wire # 10-2-1 and butt connectors # DW05745-10 for this installation. I have added links for you to help articles on trailer wiring and brake controller installation which details the process for you.
As for a brake controller I strongly recommend the Prodigy P3 # 90195; it is the most popular model we carry due to its effectiveness and ease of use. It will activate your trailer's brakes immediately in proportion to your Rambler's brakes and offers three different boost levels so you can adjust your braking power.
The P3 levels automatically, has constant diagnostic checks, contains safeguards which defend your controller against shorts, and features an LCD display which is much easier to read than that of other controllers. This controller has been met with nearly universal praise; it has been reviewed by our customers more than 2,000 times and is averaging close to 5 out of 5 stars. I've added links to video reviews of the P3 and other products for you to take a look at as well.
