Will the Yakima FourTimer # Y02443-2 Allow Full Rear Hatch Clearance for a 2018 Chevy Traverse

Do you know if this will allow the trunk to open on a 2018 traverse when tilted down with a bike loaded?

Since the Yakima FourTimer # Y02443-2 is a bigger bike rack it will not tilt down enough for you to gain full access to the rear hatch area of your 2018 Chevrolet Traverse as you can see from the attached review video of a 2018 Chevrolet Equinox. It could give you partial access.

For a bike rack that will allow you full access to your rear hatch area on your Traverse I recommend the Yakima FullSwing # Y02465. This fits a 2" trailer hitch and can carry up to 4 bikes with a combined weight rating of 160 lbs.

The swinging feature allows you to move the bike rack, fully loaded, out away from the rear of your Traverse. It comes with bike and rack locks, an anti-rattle device, and folding arms that have anti-sway cradles. This bike rack sits 15" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the foot of the carrier which you can use to determine fitment.
If you have any women's or kid's bikes that do not have a horizontal cross tube then a bike adapter bar # UB01 is recommended to increase stability and ground clearance.
