Erickson Recovery Tow Strap # EM59801 Recommendation for Towing a Silverado 2500 Diesel

Question:

Im looking for a recovery strap. I drive a Silverado 2500 diesel truck and tow a 12,000 lb. Trailer. I want a strap that can pull me out if I get stuck in sand/mud. Which do you recommend? Also, what reciever hook do you recommend? I only see 8,000lb working capacity ones on this site.

The strongest recovery strap is our Erickson Recovery Tow Strap # EM59801. This strap has a break strength of 35,000 lbs and can be used on vehicles that weigh up 17,500 lbs.

I would recommend you put two Erickson Bolt-On Tow Hook with Keeper # EM59505 on the front of your 2500 Silverado and then run one end of the # TR63046 through the loop on the other end of the strap so that you have a slip knot that you could put around both of the tow hooks to spread the weight of towing your vehicle to two hooks instead of one.
