Bike Rack for a 2006 BMW 330xi

What bike rack do you recommend for a BMW 330xi to carry mountain bikes on long trips - and what hitch should I have installed ?

I have a solution for you, however, there's not a trailer hitch available for a 2006 BMW 330xi. Instead, I'd recommend a trunk mounted bike rack. Outright, this will be a far more economical solution, and allow for a little more flexibility when not on a trip.
I recommend the OutWay # TH45JV. It is the most popular 2-bike truck mount carrier all of the top features. It is the easiest to load and unload and can be accomplished in mere seconds. It has 2 retractable cables and a more arched frame that can better fit some rear hatch designs. The arms are independently adjustable to accommodate a wide variety of shapes of bikes.
