What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna be checking out this Erickson winch bar. So, this is gonna be for emergencies for your winch. I feel like, I feel like this is the spare one you put it in your glove box just to make sure you have this, so you can undo this or tying it when you need to. You know, I recommend getting one of the longer bars. There's a 20 inch one from Brophy that is really helpful.
You get that leverage. This one, you don't get that much leverage, but I think it's good for emergencies like I said, cause if you don't have a bar, you can't loosen this and you can't tighten it. Let's check it out. Looking at our lashing winch, this is where it's gonna go. This is the half inch hole right here.
Fits in there just fine. And then the whole bar, it's gonna be seven inches in total. So, you can get that push or pull on there that you need. So, pushing it forward just a little bit just to loosen it and get that tension off there. And it also works just to tighten it back up as well.
Now, like I said before, I think this is good as a spare because you don't get the leverage that you would get out of that 20 inch one. So, it's kind of just for emergencies. If you don't have the other bar handy, you have this one. You can still loosen or tighten. Another thing I would like to point out is this groove here.
That kind of helps it settle into place, and that's gonna give you a little bit more leverage too. You see how I put that groove right there in that section of the hole, and that allows you to push on that and get that push to relieve that tension. It's got a yellow chromate finish, so you don't have to worry about the elements getting to it or bothering it all. It's gonna hold up to that rust and corrosion. It's not gonna be an issue. Overall, it gets the job done. It's not the easiest way to do it just because of how short the handle is. You need a little bit more on there for that leverage to make it easier, but it is good to have just in case you need it. It can easily go in that glove box. That way, if you don't have the big bar, at least you got something. Well, thanks for hanging out and I hope this helped..

The customer service was excellent and professional. They were very helpful and knowledgeable.
