5th Wheel Trailer Hitch Recommendation for a 2012 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
Im trying to buy a fifth wheel camper this spring . I know I need a slider for it . I have a 2012 ford king ranch crew cab with a 5.5 foot bed. I think I need the 13K . Any suggestions or comments.?

If you want just a hitch then yes, the 13K Demco HiJacker, # DM8550022 for under bed mount or # DM8550034 for industry standard above the bed rails is the best option. These hitches have 22-1/2 inches of travel to help with turning clearance.
The other option is to use a fixed hitch with a Sidewinder pin box. But unless the trailer you want ends up weighing over 13,000 pounds this option is more expensive and there would have to be a Sidewinder that fits in place of the factory pin box on the trailer.
Since Demco doesn't have an under bed mount kit for the 2012 Ford F-150 with 5-1/2 Foot bed you will need to use the HiJacker of above bed rails, # DM8550034, along with installation kit # RP50081-58.
