Is There a Recommended Crossbar Spread for the OEM Crossbars on a 2009 Hyundai Santa Fe

What is the roof spacing for factory bars to carry 55 lb kayak. Roof is rated for 220 lbs

Although there isn't a standard, kayak carriers typically require at least a 24" crossbar spread which is measured from the center of one crossbar to the center of the other crossbar.

If you don't already have a carrier then I recommend going with the Rhino-Rack J-Style Kayak Carrier # S512. This is just like a standard J-style carrier except you can add the extension arms # RRS512X to carry 2 kayaks plus it can fold down for a lower profile when you are not carrying your kayak.

Although the Rhino-Rack SUP and Surfboard Pads # RRRWP03 are not the best option, if you were planning on carrying your kayak just on the crossbars I recommend using the pads. They will provide some protection to both your kayak and your roof rack, and they come with tie-downs to secure your kayak.
