Recommended Wiring Harness for Prodigy P3 Brake Controller and 2005 Nissan Xterra
Question:
I have a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller currently in a 2012 Ford F-350 Motorhome. I am selling the Motorhome and keeping the Brake Controller, but I am aware the pigtail for the Motorhome will not work with my 2005 Nissan Xterra. Can I purchase just the wiring I would need for the Brake Controller to operate in my Xterra?

For your Prodigy P3 Brake Controller # 90195 the harness needed for your 2005 Nissan Xterra is # 3050-P. This will work with your factory 7-way wiring. The harness will be under the dash to the left of your steering column, taped to another harness near the emergency brake pedal.
If you don't have the factory 7-way, then you will need to hardwire the brake controller and will need harness # 20127 and then the universal wiring kit # ETBC7. If you don't already have the 4-way wiring, I recommend # C56225.
