Can the SportRack Pathway Bike Rack be Easily Removed from the Hitch
Question:
I have a Honda Accord Coupe with a 1 1/4 hitch. In order to close my garage door I need to remove the rack. Is that easy to do or does it have to be “installed”?

The SportRack Pathway bike rack # SR2703 will be held in your trailer hitch with the included thread hitch bolt. It is not meant as a permanent installation so when you are ready to remove the rack just unthread the bolt and pull it out, take out the rack from the hitch, and thread the bolt back into the bike rack shank so it doesn't get lost.
The bolt is threaded because there is a nut inside the bike rack shank and when the bolt is tightened it pulls the bike rack shank tight to the inside of the hitch receiver to limit movement of the rack in the hitch.
