Recommended Timbren Axle-Less System For 2000 lb Trailer with 6 on 5-1/2 Hubs with Brakes
Question:
Hello, Looking into a timbren suspension for my tear and interested in the ASR35HDS02 model. My trailer is not that heavy and 3500lbs suspension would be too much. Do you offer this unit components with lighter weight rating 2000lbs - 2500lbs? I will be installing the same wheels as my 4runner, 17 wheel with 6x5.5 lugs. What hub and brakes do you recommend? Thanks Joe

Expert Reply:
The Timbren Heavy-Duty Axle-Less Trailer Suspension - 4" Lift Spindle - Off-Road Tires - 3,500 lbs # ASR35HDS02 as you stated will be too much for your trailer, so I recommend the 2,000 lbs system with 4 inch lift spindles # ASR2KHDS03 as a better fit.
For your hub assemblies, you will want the Dexter Trailer Hub and Drum Assembly for 3,500-lb E-Z Lube Axles - 10" Diameter - 6 on 5-1/2 # 84656UC3-EZ to fit your bolt pattern. Finally, you will want the Dexter Nev-R-Adjust Electric Trailer Brake Kit - 10" - Left and Right Hand Assemblies - 3.5K # 23-468-469.
If you need wiring recommendations, I recommend # 10-2-1 wire for the brake assemblies and then the 7-way cable with junction box # HS381-9000 for easy connections.
