Bulldog BX1 Gooseneck Coupler Compatibility with Recessed Gooseneck Ball in Flatbed

On the bulldog BX1 gooseneck coupler, how far does the handle stick out from the center of the ball when locked? My truck has a flatbed with a recessed ball and Im worried it might not clear. Do you know the minimum well size needed for clearance when turning?

For the Bulldog BX1 Gooseneck Coupler # BD1289140300 my contact there advised that the size of flatbed gooseneck ball recess needed for compatibility with this coupler is no less than 6-inches all around from the ball center.
They recommend a recess size of 12 x 12-inches to provide complete clearance.
