Does RBW X16 Hitch Fit Custom Base Rails for 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD?

Question:

I have a RBW x16 5th wheel hitch that is mounted in a 2006 25oo HD with 8 foot box. I would like to upgrade the mounting brackets that came with the hitch. Are there side plates that mount on the frame that would fit my application? Thanks

There are custom base rails with mounting brackets for your 2006 Chevy Silverado 2500HD. The Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit # RP50064-58 are vehicle-specific brackets and will mount to existing holes in the frame of your truck. It is likely your RBW X16 hitch is going to fit the rails that come with this kit, though to make sure you will want to ensure the tabs on the hitch measure, center-to-center, 22 inches front-to-back and 29 inches side-to-side.
