Is There a Locking Ball Mount Rated for Over 10,000 lbs?

Question:

You have been kicking butt on this. I was not aware of the Andersen set up. Question I have, do you have the Andersen Part #: 3294 set up? It doesent come up on your site. Its a 4" drop vs the 8" The 8" is overkill for my end.

The only B&W Tow & Stow ball mounts we offer that have a towing capacity over 10,000 lbs and fit in a 2" hitch use a pintle hook, like # BWTS10055.

There are adjustable ball mounts from other manufacturers that fit in a 2" hitch and can give you the capacity you need. The Andersen EZ Heavy Duty Adjustable Hitch # AM3298 is one of those options as it has a 14,000 lb capacity with the 2-5/16" ball and offers a maximum rise of or drop of 8".

I've added links to video reviews of these ball mounts for you to take a look at.

I can't do a pintle set up and the other one has zero theft protection on the adjustable mount.

There is available theft protection for the adjustable mount on the Andersen EZ Heavy Duty Adjustable Hitch # AM3298. The Andersen Trailer Hitch Lock and Adjustment Pin Lock Set # AM3493 locks the hitch balls to the mount and the mount to the receiver with its two locks. I've added links to a pair of video reviews on this lock set for you to take a look at.

Thank you! While we do not carry that part from Andersen we do have a different option with a maximum of 6" drop. The Curt Adjustable Ball Mount # C45900 will give you 14,000 lbs of towing capacity with the 2-5/16" ball just like the Andersen but with a max drop of 6". It also has theft protection available in the form of the Curt Lock Set for Adjustable Channel-Style Mounts # C23556. Just like with the Andersen set up, it has a pair of locks which will both lock the hitch balls to the mount and the ball mount to your trailer hitch. I've added links to video reviews of this part as well for you to take a look at.
