ST235/80-16 Radial Tires or Bias Tires for Fifth Wheel Trailer?  

Question:

Purchased a 37 ft 5th wheel. It has bias ply tired on it now. 235/80 16. Will bias work and hold up as good as radial?

ST235/80R16 radial tires are going to be a better option for your fifth wheel trailer. They will flex more than bias tires which means more traction, stability and better overall tread wear; this also means the tires should last longer. Bias tires have a stiffer sidewall and are generally better for use in off-road applications.

If you needed a tire with a bigger capacity in the same size the Provider # PRG80235 is a load range G tire with a 4,080 lbs capacity at 110 psi. You will need to make sure your tires are inflated to the maximum psi to keep their maximum capacity and to get the best overall performance.
