Which Bike Racks are Rated to Be Used on the Back of an RV

Question:

I have a 24 foot Navion RV with a Sprinter chassis and a spare tire mounted on the back. I tow my boat with the hitch therefore I was hoping to use the tire attach a bike. I read that the yakima tire mount cannot be used on an RV. I was wondering why they recommend against its use with RVs and if there is any other product I could use I am not very excited to mount anything to the ladder. Thanks,

I attached a page below that has all of the different bike racks that are rated for use behind an RV or trailer. Some of them attach to the bumper of your vehicle, some install in a hitch and some do install on the ladder on the back of the RV.

The Yakima SpareRide 2 Bike Carrier # Y02599 that you referenced is not rated to handle the rougher ride that RVs have compared to a passenger vehicle. Because of that this rack is not recommended for use on RVs.
