Suspension Enhancement Recommendation for 2011 Ram 3500 Towing Fifth Wheel
Question:
I have a Dodge 2011 3500 heavy duty with 6.7 cummins diesel - only single rear tires. I had a Curt 20k 5th wheel installed to tow a Keystone Montana 41.5 feet, high 14,000 lbs. Havent weighed it yet - scale is nearby. Rear end is compressed pretty good when coupled. Why is the Timbren product recommended over airbags. I understand the need to mess with air pressure.

There are pros and cons to air bags over Timbrens. If you like the ability to tailor exactly how much suspension support you get and are okay with maintaining air pressure the Firestone kit part # F2701 is a fit for your truck and is compatible with the hitch you have.
If instead you want a one time install and don't ever want to mess with the suspension the Timbren kit part # TDR3500CA would be what you need.
