Recommended Offset for 5th Wheel Hitch and Gooseneck Trailer on Ram 3500 Cab and Chassis

Question:

I need a bit more room in my ram 3500 cab and chassis for a sleeper. Although it is close to working and may even work I want assurance. Therefore my question is, if i get an offset adapter how much will that throw my weight towing ability off? Also what are the extended adapters weight ratings? Im worried that the weight over my hitch will be moved back and affect my GVWR. Thanks Gooseneck trailer to 5th wheel hitch

The Wallace Forge Gooseneck to Fifth Wheel Trailer Adapter # 2085205 you asked this from will not give you any offset. It sounds like you are looking for an offset like the Andersen Ultimate Connection 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch System with Adapter - 20,000 lbs # AM3200 which will give you a 9 inch offset.

If you just want to convert 5th wheel rails to a gooseneck trailer, then you can use the Curt Above-Bed Gooseneck Trailer Hitch for Fifth Wheel Rails - 3" Offset # 16055. You can also use the B&W Extend-A-Goose Gooseneck Coupler - 2-5/16" Ball - 10" Offset # BWTEXA4200 for additional offset.

To give you other fit options, I need to more information on your trailer, your truck setup, and any components you currently have to utilize.
