What truck, preferably a Ford, is best to pull a 37 ft camper, but gets good gas mileage with and without towing a camper

It's hard to get great fuel mileage when towing, but best option will be as new of a Ford F-350 you can afford with a diesel engine as they are the most efficient. Typically the Cummins engine found in the Ram/Dodge trucks is the most fuel efficient. Go with a long bed to give you best turning clearance, and dually axle for best stability.

If you can drive a manual transmission that will help you a little bit with mileage as well. You would also want to look into a programmer possibly for the truck as they help with mileage too.
