Recommended Trailer Hitch Mounted Cargo Carrier for 2018 Toyota Highlander AWD Limited for Cooler
Question:
Dear Etrailer, Having had a minivan for many years, i now find myself with an suv with much less interior cargo capacity...not unexpected but i know i will need a way to transport a large ice chest/cooler without taking up interior space. What make/model would you recommend and what accessories must i have to use it...such as anything related to my license plate? Tie down straps to hold the cooler securely? Thanks in advance for your advice. Trailer hitch mounted cargo rack for 2018 Toyota Highlander AWD limited

For your 2018 Toyota Highlander AWD Limited, I recommend the 20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches # C18151. This carrier has a folding option when not in use and will easily secure your cooler and any other cargo you desire. This carrier is 6-1/2 inches tall or 5-5/8 inches deep and will give you multiple tie down options for straps like # EM05710.
I also recommend the Anti-rattle Hitch lock # MPG2174 to secure your carrier.
These style carriers do not require a license plate relocation or any other changes to your vehicle.
