Question:
Id like to upgrade my non- reflector trailer lights with your reflectors only. Are there any requirements as to how close these should be placed to the side marker lights? Thank you.

Trailer lighting requirements will vary depending on the size and weight of the trailer. You can refer to the linked article that provides specific information about lighting needs. The article also shows how to measure the trailer's dimensions.
Then you can use the linked page that shows all types of trailer lights and reflectors to select what you need.
In addition to standard lights and reflectors we also have conspicuity tape like # RE21T that is a great easy and low-cost way to add visibility to a trailer.
