What is the Weight Capacity of Tire and Wheel Combo Part # AM32156
Question:
The Kenda #32156 is rated under description 50 psi capacity 1760#. However, under specs it states wheel capacity 1870 and tire 1925 at 60 psi. Please explain the difference in these two desriptions and can they be operated at either the 50 or 60 psi. Also, how is a purchaser guaranteed to get fresh tires versus tires that have been in storage. I prefer tires manufactured within the past twelve months. Thanks

I did some digging into the Kenda tire and wheel combo, part # AM32156, because of the discrepancy. The tire itself, which is part # AM10234, is rated for 1,925 pounds at 60 psi. However, since the wheel is rated at 1,870 pounds this is the capacity of the two together. You're always limited but the lowest rated component. You do however, want to run the tire at 60 psi.
You're right to be concerned on the age of a tire but it's usually when they're exposed to the elements that causes the most damage. We move tires pretty quickly so they don't normally sit around for very long. They're also stored in optimal conditions and not exposed to the elements. So even tires that are a couple years old are still top quality.
