Recommended Replacement Regulator for Auto-Changover Regulator that No Longer Functions Correctly
Question:
Since December Ive had a problem with one of my RV propane tanks. I have a 5th wheel with dual 30lb tanks and an auto changeover dual-tank regulator. In the past everything worked great - when one tank empties it automatically changed over to the full tank. Now, no matter which tank I have ed it only draws from one tank. I ruled out an issue with the tank itself by switching sides. Do I need a new regulator?

It sounds like you do have a regulator problem and need to replace it. I recommend the Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005. This regulator features a gauge indicator to warn you the tank pressure is decreasing and you are running out of propane.
There is a slight possibility that a pigtail may be bad or going bad. I recommend getting the MB Sturgis Propane Hose w/ Back Check # 100473-24-MBS for each side when replacing the regulator to ensure proper function.
