Which Tow Bar is Easiest to Connect Disconnect, Blue Ox Avail or Roadmaster Sterling

Question:

I find releasing my current Demco excalibar II bar difficult at times. As far as both claiming non binding release, is one better than the other between blue ox avail and Roadmaster Sterling. Recently bought a new grand Cherokee and willing to buy a new bar if release mechanism is considerably better. Thanks.

You really can't go wrong with either the Roadmaster Sterling part # RM-576 or the Blue Ox Avail part # BX7420 both will be considerably easier to use that your Demco. In terms of the release mechanism they are both about the same from my experience with them. But overall I prefer the triple lug setup of Blue Ox tow bars over the Roadmaster as they are just a little bit easier to connect and disconnect.

If I was looking for a tow bar setup for a vehicle I would go with Blue Ox base plates and tow bars for that reason. Roadmaster makes fantastic flat towing products, but the Blue Ox components are just a bit more user friendly.

I attached review videos for both for you to check out as well.
