I have a 2014 Equinox with a after market stardard light weight trailer hitch. Can this hitch be taken off my 2014 and mounted on a 2018 Equinox that Im buying? Thanks

The trailer hitch for your 2014 Chevy Equinox, will fit models from 2005 through 2017. 2018 models had a different frame, so I recommend the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # 76419 or the 1-1/4 inch # 36642 which is a confirmed fit for the 2018 model year.
For your wiring, I recommend # C94FR if you get the tow package or # 118750 if you don't have the tow package. I've linked some videos to assist.
If you get the 1-1/4 inch receiver, you will already have the ball mount needed. If you get the 2 inch receiver for more options, I recommend the B&W Tow & Stow 2-Ball Mount - 2" Hitch - 3" Drop, 3-1/2" Rise - 7.5K - Black # BWTS10035B. This will give you options for trailer hitch ball as well as give you a clean look with the stowable feature. I've attached a video to assist.
