Recommended Trailer Wiring Harness for 2015 Nissan Rogue SV
Question:
For the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector - C55510, your product notes indicate this is a custom-fit T-connector plugs into the vehicles wiring harness located behind the rear bumper. This sounds like I don’t need to tap into the battery black wire in the engine compartment. Could you verify this for me. My vehicle is a 2015 Nissan Rogue SV.

The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C55510 is not a fit for your 2015 Nissan Rogue SV. Instead, you will want the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56033 which is a confirmed fit.
This custom-fit T-connector plugs into your Nissan Rogue's wiring harness, which is located behind the driver's-side and passenger's-side interior trim panels in your rear cargo area. Once you've plugged in the T-connector, run the hot lead up to your car battery. Connect the lead to the included fuse holder, and then connect the fuse holder to the positive terminal on your battery.
Tapping into the battery for power will protect your factory system from overload. I've attached a video of this installation as well as linked an article to help you run the power wire to your battery.
