Two Bike Platform Carrier With Combo Shank and Built In Security
Question:
I have a great choice for you that fits what you're looking for in a two bike platform rack. It is the Saris Freedom SuperClamp, part # SA4025F. This made in America rack includes a lifetime warranty, integrated bike locks and a super-light steel construction for ease of use and durability. The SuperClamp holds bikes by the wheels, avoiding frame contact. The Superclamp does have the ability to fold up and tilt away for rear access to your vehicle, and has a 1-1/4 inch and 2-inch combo shank. The only downside to this rack is that it does not have an integrated hitch pin, but uses a threaded pin with keyed-alike locks. I recommend the SuperClamp if you want to carry heavy bikes with difficult frames or wheel bases.
