Will Other Functions of Trailer Connector Still Work After Brake Controller is Removed from Vehicle

Question:

HI, A few years ago you all installed a Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller on my 2001 Xterra. I purchased a new vehicle and want to move the trailer break to my new vehicle. My question is if I hook a trailer up to my Xterra will the trailer lights still work once I unplug the trailer break control? Thank you

Yes, removing the Prodigy P3, part # 90195, from your Xterra will eliminate the brake function but the other fucntions will stay active.

Instead of completely removing the P3 from the Xterra you can add a mounting bracket, part # TK5906, to your new vehicle and transfer the P3 from vehicle to vehicle, if need be. Also, if you tell me the year, make, and model of the new vehicle I'll recommend the parts you need to install the P3.
