Recommended 4-Way Trailer Wiring Harness for 1999 Chevy Silverado
Question:
I have a 1999 Chevy Silverado that did come factory wired with wire harness, however I am having issues locating a short somewhere in that wiring. Do you carry a 4 wire harness kit that is a T connection that would connect at the rear tail lights then would have the 4 wire for the trailer. Ive seen them for many other vehicles but I did see any for the Silverado.

Expert Reply:
For your 1999 Chevy Silverado, there is a 4-way that can be spliced in behind your tail lights with quick splice connectors, but there is not a T-style connector. For your application I recommend the Vehicle Wiring Harness Kit with 4 Pole Trailer Connector (Includes Install Kit) # C59496. This will install in a very similar way to the T-connectors and will require connection to your battery for power.
