Can Sway Bar Be Used Without Weight Distribution System?
Question:
I have husky center-line TS weight disturbionhitch,600=800 tongue weight, want to change trunnion bars for 300lb tongue and 3500+/-lbs is this available? Can I use a sway bar set up on a 7x12 foot trailer just by its self? and not use weight distribution system.

Expert Reply:
Though Husky Center Line weight distribution systems have spring bars which are interchangeable, there are not Center Line spring bars that are available for a 300 lb tongue weight. Instead, you can use a sway bar setup like you asked about; the Reese Friction Sway Control Kit # 83660. You would also need sway control bracket # RP26003 if your trailer had a Class III or Class IV, 2" x 2" ball mount or bracket # RP26005 for a Class II, 1-1/4" x 1-1/4" ball mount.
I've attached links to video reviews and an install of the sway kit for you to take a look at.
