Bike Rack and Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback
Question:
Would this bike rack work on a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback? Any other racks you recommend that are not roof racks?

The best option we have for carrying a bike rack on a 2018 Honda Civic Hatchback is a hitch mounted option. Hitches are the most secure, easiest to load, do not affect fuel mileage, don't touch any painted surfaces, easiest to lock bikes and racks to and are not the most expensive route (that's roof rack). Trunk racks aren't quite as secure and they touch the vehicle paint so they aren't my first pick. Plus there are no trunk fits for the hatchback 2018 Civics.
So a hitch option like the Saris Freedom Superclamp # SA4025F are the way to go.
This is a lightweight platform rack (which is normally an unheard of combo). That means it'll be easy to install and remove from your vehicle since it's light, but also it'll be very easy to load bikes on since it's a platform rack.
This rack also only touches bikes at the tire so it protects any damage to delicate frame materials or finishes.
The hitch you need for your vehicle is the Curt # C11463 which I confirmed is a fit for your vehicle. Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.
