Are metal keyed lock cores able to be installed in replacement of the plastic cores that come with the included endcaps? Or do the lockable endcaps have to be purchased?

The only way to lock the Rhino Rack crossbars # RRVA118B-2 is by replacing the endcaps with lockable end caps part # RRVA-LEC4.
There isn't a way to lock the caps that come with the # RRVA118B-2 other than that.
