this says 03 to 06. how about my 08 without tow package? I need a 4-pin wiring setup.

Curt T-Connector 4-Pole Vehicle Wiring Harness # C55550 fits the 2003 through 2006 models years of the Kia Sorento but for your 2008 Sorento that does NOT have the factory tow package instead you will use kit # C59496. An install video is linked for you.
This kit includes all parts needed to install a 4-pole harness that will provide basic trailer lighting signals and at the same time protect the vehicle from any risk of damage from short-circuits in a trailer's wiring.
If your 2008 Sorento did have the factory tow package then you would use part # C56332.
