Trunk Mounted 3 Bike Carrier for a Ladies and 2 Kids Bikes on a 2012 Mazda 6

Hi there I am looking for a suitable bike carrier for my 2012 Mazda 6 sedan to hold 3 bike includingy ladies bike and my 2 x kids 16inch bikes. I would like an easy and sturdy bike rack either for the roof or for over the boot as I dont have a tow ball. Please can you suggest a suitable product that will meet my needs. Please include any additional fittings required to hold a ladies and 2 x kids bikes.

For your 2012 Mazda 6, I recommend the Thule Passage 3 Bike Carrier - Trunk Mount, Item # TH911XT. This is a trunk/boot mounted rack that will hold three bikes up to 35 pounds each. The rack is designed to work around spoilers and to be easy to load.

To mount your kids and ladies bikes, you'll need a frame adapter bar for each one, part # 64005 to help the ladies bike ride level and to give the carrier an actual bar to grab onto on the kid's bikes. These telescope, so they'll continue to be useful as the kids bikes get bigger.

I also recommend a cable lock, part # e98891 to secure the bikes to the rack. Be sure to run this through the actual frames of the bikes, rather than around the adapter bars which do not lock.
