Recommendation to Convert Factory 4-Way to 7-Way on 2006 Ford Expedition
Question:
2006 Ford Expedition 4 pole flat factory installed Although the factory left the electric brake line capped and unused at the back of the 4 pole connector, I would like to use the 12v battery option and they did not continue that line from the trucks harness point , through this pigtail/harness. Will this item work on the expy to swap the 4 pole with a 7 pole at the point in the harness where it now connects since ford used only one harness for all expys? If so, I plug this in, throw in the relays/fuses and I am finished. Thanks,

I do have a solution for you, however the Tekonsha Ford Replacement OEM Tow Package Wiring Harness # 118242 referenced in your question is designed for certain model year Ford F-150s and will not work with your 2006 Ford Expedition.
In order to install a fully functional 7-Way from the existing 4-Way on your Expedition, you will need the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7. This kit includes everything needed to convert your 4-Way to a fully functional 7-way, including the needed wiring to activate the 12V circuit on the connector. I have attached a great article that details the installation steps for this kit.
There is not a plug and play option available to convert the 4-Way on your vehicle to a fully functional 7-Way connector.
