Does the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 Come with 12V Lead to Battery on a 1995 Corolla

Question:

does the trailer wiring converter/harness part number C59236 include the separate powered direct from battery option for operating the trailer lights or does it use the existing wiring to the vehicle tail lights to power the trailer lights? also why is the Tekonsha part # 119190KIT NOT confirmed to operate properly with the Corolla and yet is recommended when a search is performed for a proper trailer wiring converter/harness?

Yes, the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236 that you referenced has the wire needed to run to the battery on your 1995 Toyota Corolla to operate the trailer lights.

That wire that is run to the battery keeps the trailer from drawing too much power on the light circuit of your Corolla which could cause issues with your vehicle side lights. The trailer lights will receive power directly from your battery and the wires you splice to your lighting on your Corolla basically act as triggers for your trailer lights.

I am not sure where you are seeing that the Tekonsha Kit # 119178KIT is not confirmed to fit your Corolla as, like you stated, it shows up when you go through the fit guide. This option is actually a universal kit and should basically work with any vehicle.

Let me know if you need anything else for your setup (like a trailer hitch, ball mount/hitch ball, or bike rack) and I can make some recommendations.

Installation instructions both both wiring kits are linked for you to check out.
